Papa Ali Indian Takeaway
147 Shieldhall Rd, GlasgowI'm anaphylactic to Palm oil and not had a take away for 5 yrs since diagnosis. I had a yearning for an Indian curry and explained to manager. He went over and above to help me,asking chef's for ingredients, checking packaging ingredients on oil etc...turns out I couldnt have a curry due to the dreaded Palm being in most stuff cooked with the oil!! He made me up a beautiful kebab with a palm free pitta bread and as much meat as a family of 4 could eat!
Even suggested if I brought my own oil in He would make me a curry!!
Now that's what u call service!!

I'm a big Katsu curry fan so ordered and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus I managed to use chopsticks for the first time and ate it all, brilliant stuff.
My wife picked up plates from the belt and I tried a few items that she had. They were all very tasty.
Yo isn't the cheapest place but definitely enjoyable.

Sold out his own special whilst we were there. Waitress/bar lady was also very friendly.The pepper sauce was to die for. Chicken was moist. Very decent quality for pub scran. I would definitely recommend and return.We both cleared our plates.Thanks for the great service.See you soon. I would get that chicken Balmoral on the menu. I'd like to try some other specials though. Great work and tasty food

62 Hairst St, RenfrewI have to say I am partial to Sherwood for the breaded special fish. Served in a pizza box it actually works for me. I am ignorant of the fish variety but remember reading it was special, a bit like my order. Works with a nice red too.

It is a small pub, crowded but not packed, the patrons were friendly - one gave his stool at the bar to my wife - service was friendly and prompt.
