We stopped off in Aberfoyle as part of a Rabbies tour. Our guide recommended several places for lunch and we chose the Deli for a light lunch. There's a very wide range of pies (more than ten, I think) which you can have hot or cold. I had a venison pie and my partner had a steak & black pudding pie, with a piece of cake each and all washed down with tea. It was lovely to sit on the benches outside and watch the world go by. To misquote Nathan Hale, "I regret that I have but (one hour) to (spend in Aberfoyle)", because there's not enough time to get hungry again and buy more pies.Go here. Buy pies. Be happier for it.

This place is amazing even my veggie pal likes it! ?. We drop in whenever we are passing at the weekends. Was in there Saturday and also bought some venison stewing steak this time. Had the venison sausages as well before and they’re great.They make the most delicious steak and onion rolls or baguettes. Pal has the potato scone and egg roll or the rolo tray bake.Staff are always lovely and friendly too.
