Came from Bristol to visit family, and take my elderly Gran for lunch, took a chance because of the reviews and weren't disappointed!Lovely full Scottish breakfasts, kids enjoyed their dinners, especially their coke floats, and Granny enjoyed her macaroni cheese and we shared a very generous pot of tea with 2 cups each.Very good value, with 4 adults and 2 kids, cooked lunch for a shade over £60 (£10 av.). A lovely warm welcome from the team on arrival. We always like to choose an independent place to stop at where possible We ordered Cullen Skink soup and a bowl of chilli chicken with wedges. Plus hot drinks. Our server explained what the ingredients were in the food which was good The food was very tasty and piping hot It's always good to try some of the local cuisine when you can and the soup was delicious Definitely a nice place to stop for lunch

A nice place to stop for lunch in troon. We prefer to use independent traders rather than chainsA lovely greeting when we arrived for lunch. The lady was very knowledgeable about the menu.We ordered Cullen Skink plus a bow of chilli chicken wedgesThe food arrived quickly and was piping hot and very tasty.We were also given some recommendations about places to visit in the area which is great to get locals who recommend somewhere we may not have heard about.
