Fantastic food, superb service, great

Great place, great service, food tasted delicious, but be prepared to go all sophisticated and look delighted with your tiny main course portion at £19. At least you'll be able to fit in one of their delectable desserts.

Just had a fabulous lunch with my brother and sister-in-law at the Royle. Food was great, service excellent and the staff very accommodating. Will definitely make a return visit.

We booked the Royle in September last year while on holiday nearby, having never been there before, it was booked on the off chance. The food, wine (they use a local wine merchant) and service was amazing. My dad, the grumpiest man alive, said it was the best food he’d ever had. We have returned today and again everything about it was fantastic. The food, drink, staff and atmosphere of the place cannot be bettered. Every time we come back we will be eating there again. Even running into one of the team / owners in the local shop afterwards and they tried to get us a taxi as we were struggling to get one. Tremendous, I’d give more than 5 star if allowed.

Our first visit since moving to Bridgnorth.Great food, great friendly service. Our go to place to eat for sure.
The Royle is Consistently 5 Star We are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant (people describe it as a pub/restaurant) but to us it is a top quality restaurant. The ambiance and atmosphere here is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and efficient and the food wow. The Royle is a top quality restaurant but book early particularly if you want a weekend booking. Thank you Anna, Chris and your wonderful team for providing our beautiful town of Bridgnorth with this gorgeous restaurant. Again yesterday the food was fantastic the chef is so inventive. This is modern British food with a twist at its very best. Looking forward to our best visit with friends who are begging us to take them to the Royle.

I've not been I for a while but it's always a pleasant experience. It can be a bit cramped at times but can't complain as the service was good. I would use again.

So glad we decided to dine here after not really noticing it before, but managed to get a table for two at short notice on a very busy period. We were prompty seen and shown to our table situated upstairs, the bar and other seating areas were very nice with a good range of real ales, ciders and wine menu and nicely decorated Christmas trees. There's also a specials board as well as the normal menu with a choice of three starters and four mains. I opted for the crisp fried breaded blue cheese starter, which was amazing, rich and crispy just wished there was a bit more as it was so good. The other starter was the chicken livers pate with a port jelly which tasted wonderful. Plates were taken away and we often asked if all ok or more drinks needed. For the mains we had the Halibut with mushrooms with a side of chips, the other main was the half a Gressingham Duck, both mains were wonderful. At this point it was a real struggle to fit anything else in, but the desserts looked and sounded wonderful I had the brioche and butter pudding served with clotted cream. We both agreed that it has been the nicest meal out we have had for a while and have booked again for the soonest availability, highly recommended.
