The Royle is Consistently 5 Star We are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant (people describe it as a pub/restaurant) but to us it is a top quality restaurant. The ambiance and atmosphere here is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and efficient and the food wow. The Royle is a top quality restaurant but book early particularly if you want a weekend booking. We came here New Year’s Eve. We had booked a table because it’s always mad busy and the food always looked nice. There were four of us, and we all had something different off the Sunday dinner menu. We all agreed it was brilliant, the waitress was fantastic, pleasant and helpful. the prices were average which is a surprise considering it feels like an expensive experience.. We will book again sometime soon to try a Friday night steak… Happy new year.

The food was delicious, the scotch egg was divine with crumbled stilton cheese on the salad.... forgot to take a photo of the mains which were gressington duck & fillet steak as I couldn't wait to dig in?
