“Unbelievably good pub and restaurant. Disclaimer- i live nearby. I had takeaway fish and chips tonight and I can honestly say, best I have ever had. Less than a tenner which is cheaper than local chip ship (7 miles away). Genuinely amazing town and genuinely amazing pub and restaurant. Found the place I'd be happy to die in!”

“Delicious ale and cider, friendly place. Full of history. Very welcoming and we look forward to stopping again next time we are over this way. Great place to stop on a sunny afternoon in the garden. Bet it's very cozy on a not so sunny day as indoors is lovely.”

“Just had a wonderful meal at the Swan inn, food piping hot, really tasty home cooked, we all had steak and ale pie, plenty on the plate, possibly the nicest I've had anywhere.

My daughter had the Swan burger, really good she said.

Excellent friendly attentive staff, even when we were all full up and didn't order deserts, they kindly gave my daughter a Chocolate Brownie with ice cream and a candle on the house as it was her birthday.

If we return to the area I would definitely make a point of going back to the Swan Inn

“We had the sharing platter this evening. absolutely brilliant. The food was superb and the service and atmosphere 100%. Excellent value. We shall be back.”

“We were staying just 0.8 miles away from the pub and telephoned them to ask about local taxi firms so we could go and have a meal and a few drinks. The landlady said that taxis are very scarce in the area. After we had already telephoned one taxi firm and quoted us £17 each way. The landlady offered to take us back to the cottage we were staying in. What a lovely lady. We had a drink each and the very best fish and amazing homemade chips ever. Would highly recommend this pub, very friendly atmosphere, very friendly staff and amazing chips.”
