We went for a walk around the lake and decided to take a look inside. Plenty of seating. Dog friendly & staff were able to seat us no problem straight away.We were eating out that evening so decided on a couple of drinks and shared some chips.We wish we would have had space for some food as it looked very nice leaving the kitchen. They offer a pre booked afternoon which is something I would like to try on my return.
We visited for Sunday lunch on 12th November.Food was fine but just not hot enough. The room was also chilly which didn't help our meals stay warm.Staff were pleasant and attentive but I thought it was pricey for a cool meal. We didn't complain as it was a birthday meal and I didn't want to spoil the atmosphere. Would we go again? Not sure ?, it wasn't awful just not as special as would have liked.

Breakfast whilst staying at Blackwater Barns. Lovely view's over The Mere. The bacon and egg baps with added mushrooms were excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly. Fully recommend a vist if in Ellesmere.
