“A charming bed and breakfast run by Alison and Geoff, many thanks for such a wonderful stay. Nelson’s Cottage was absolutely spotless with extremely comfortable rooms which were well maintained, the cottons sheets were luxurious and crisp. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, you have thought of everything and we wanted for nothing. Such terrific hosts we will definitely be back.”

“Great, proper pub in lovely surroundings. Perfectly kept garden. Really friendly service and friendly locals. Beer perfectly kept. Cash only but not a problem . . . When a pub doesn't look like a pub, it's probably good!”

“When we arrived the welcome and atmosphere was wonderful. The service was exceptional and our waitress Bea couldn’t do enough for us. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate to our needs. The food was 5 star and I highly recommend The salway arms and look forward to returning very soon.”

“The food here is excellent ?
The chap serving was very polite and helpful. We were informed that the menu changes weekly. If you visit this place, bring your best appetite. No small portions are served here!
Walkability: There's not a lot of parking but it's a 10mins walk from our accommodation.
Food and drinks: Fish and chips with minted peas, turkey and ham pie and mash.
Tiramasu and lemon tart
We have good appetites but we could only manage 2 out of 3 courses
Noteworthy details: (It's just a shame that the locals are so rude and prejudiced about anyone who doesn't look like them. Their hostility spoils it for the venue.)”
