Nice cosy pub! Open fire lovely! Dog friendly and a good choice of real ales! Food is tasty and good value! Bar staff excellent and new young lad who has only just started was very polite and friendly and I am sure will prove an asset!
Lovely friendly atmosphere with knowledgable staff. Daughter is a coeliac and they catered very well for her. The Sunday lunch was delicious, plenty of beautifully cooked veg to go aside, 2 vegetarian / vegan options for the roast too. I would say they were large portions. Desserts were delicious too, lovely to have a Banana split as an option you don’t often see. Granddaughter aged 4 had a smaller size portion of the adult roast which she enjoyed. Good ale choice too. We had a sausage baguette and a lasagne. Both delicious with a lovely side salad and crisps with the baguette, and garlic bread with the lasagne.To follow we shared a treacle tart with ice cream. Yum!We had seats in the snug, which was very cosy on a cold day. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff.Would recommend for traditional pub food.
