Wasn't to keep on the burger. Ingredients didn't seem to go well. Although the roast looked much better.

Mother’s Day meal unfortunately not up to scratch, not 100% on what went wrong their end. Service was slow, orders were taken but then some time after was told that the chef had left and that there weren’t items available on the menu. They did do their best to sort some food out for my little girl who was very hungry after waiting a long time for our meal. But then when food arrived it was cold, some of the meals were dry and overcooked or had been left to stand for too long. We had money taken from the bill but overall was disappointed with the whole experience, we couldn’t have any puddings due to how long we were there. I don’t think we will be returning.

We arrived here for lunch following a picturesque walk down to Ackleton/ Badger. We were the only souls present, so we felt like we'd reserved the place. The bartender was very friendly and happy to have a small casual chat. Between us, we had mac and cheese, and I had the sausage and onion-marmalade ciabatta. The food was very tasty, and the gravy was otherworldly, so I don't know what's going on there. It was a perfect conclusion to our walk, and I highly recommend it, especially for those on the badger dingle trail.

We visited on a weekday in the evening. There was 11 of us in total a mixture of children and adults reason for visit was to celebrate a birthday. We pre ordered food ahead of the visit. On arrival The staff were really welcoming and we were seated straight away. Our food was served timely, they were good sized portions and were delicious. The service was really excellent, we had a wonderful evening. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning .

We booked before hand so they knew to expect us. On arrive all seemed well, place was quite empty with only two other tables taken. We were greeted and shown to our table pretty fast.... so far so good! However after ordering, everything went downhill....when the food (most not edible) arrived at our table, we each had things missing from the dishes. We throught, oh its just a simple mistake so we pointed it out to the waitress, who was also doing the bar and seemed the only staff member on duty! To be told that there was no brisket, slaw or veg left!! The waitress had taken our orders and delivered them to our table knowing they hadn't got all the items to make the dishes... and to make matters worse, the ribs that were ordered were so dry and hard you couldn't physically eat them! The onions were swamped in oil which tasted like they'd been cooked in dirty oil. Obviously the oil hadnt been changed in a while! Smoked chicken was a greasy mess with luke warm sauce tipped over it. We pointed all the problems out and the ribs were removed from the bill, but we still had to pay full price for the rest of the food despite us not eatting it and all the items that were missing from our dishes. The staff at this place really let the place down! we should of been made aware of the missing items so we could of order something else! Instead they hoped we wouldn't notice 1/3 of the food missing!!! The quality of the food is awful and just thrown on a plate! It's Obviously not a trained chef! or not that day anyway......Its a shame this place is so badly run! I know of the other places they are part of around shropshire and have eaten there with my family many times with no complaints, but we won't bother with this one again!

Great food, reasonably priced and a lovely setting. Not too far drive from Wolverhampton with plenty of parking. Gives a cosy vibe when inside. Dishes were served promptly and all tasted superb I would recommend the pulled pork nachos and the pork belly both dishes were tasty snd freshly prepared and presentation impeccable as shown in the photos.Left feeling very full and satisfied worth the trip.Desert options were really good aswell great if you finish with a sweet tooth!

Went to visit the Smokey Cow after hearing great things but we were utterly disappointed with the food. We had a pink gin each with Lemonade. That was nice with the berries. The food however was another story. The other half had chicken wings which looked appetising however there was so much salt on them, they were inedidible! I myself had garlic mushrooms and I think I counted 8 mushrooms (4 button mushrooms chopped in half) and wouldn't have filled my 5 yr old child up, let alone me! To sumerise, over priced, over rated, bad food. Won't be visiting again!

First time visiting, walked in and no one to be seen other then chef Stuart who said sit where ever you would like and I will grab you a menu. He was very helpful. We then managed to get drinks 10 minutes later and order some food, which I will say was absolutely amazing 15/10. Burgers was amazing!!! Mac/cheese was very delicious. Will definitely visit again. Bar staff needed to be around to meet and greet and take your drinks order after sitting down. Chef was amazing!!
