The Anvil Lodge
22a Aston Road, ShifnalThis was a brilliant place to say halfway on our journey to a holiday in Wales. A spacious quiet room with a big very comfortable bed. Mike was a friendly host who cooked us a lovely breakfast and advised us of things we could could do while in the area. One was to visit the local RAF museum, which was really interesting, so very grateful for that information. Would definitely recommend.

East End Balti
5 Cheapside, ShifnalThe servers were very attentive and the food was served quickly it was a nice curry but didn't have much flavour, which is very odd as curries are usually very flavoursome needs more spices may be.It's a very small intimate place which I didn't mind.I would go again so it was a nice experience with close friends

The Smokey cow
Madeley Rd, Beckbury, ShifnalWe arrived here for lunch following a picturesque walk down to Ackleton/ Badger. We were the only souls present, so we felt like we'd reserved the place. The bartender was very friendly and happy to have a small casual chat. Between us, we had mac and cheese, and I had the sausage and onion-marmalade ciabatta. The food was very tasty, and the gravy was otherworldly, so I don't know what's going on there. It was a perfect conclusion to our walk, and I highly recommend it, especially for those on the badger dingle trail.
