Had a gorgeous Sunday lunch at the Lion + Pheasant recently with a friend.We wanted to eat around 5pm, but the kitchen closes between 4pm-6pm, so we popped somewhere else for a drink and headed back at 6pm. The room was extremely hot due to the single glazing, in fact it was airless. The fan was very noisy to leave on & the shutters had to be used at night due to a flickering street lamp.Tastefully decorated & lovely bathroom with shower. It was a very compact room & I feel there were far too many mirrors in the bathroom & room. More shelves in the bathroom maybe. And a bigger TV. All in all a bit overpriced for what you get.
Stayed 2 nights standard double. Lovely room, very comfy beds and spotless clean. Thankfully a fan provided as on top floor and couldn't have window open on mega hot night as unfortunately room over road which although 20mile zone is more like boy racer 70mphr zone at night. Non stop. Can't believe no road bumps or speed cameras in that stretch of road. Accident waiting to happen. Zero sleep because of it.
