What a little gem in Wellington. We didn't know the area, and found Red Lion on here. We were delighted with the warm family welcome, and the food was incredible. You won't be disappointed. Also the family that runs the pub are so lovely. Support local brilliant business.
Came as a family group for Sunday lunch. Didn’t really know what to expect and it was a really lovely surprise. Four Sunday lunches, one chilli and macaroni cheese ordered, six tasty desserts and six very happy guests. Everyone enjoyed their food. The prices are very competitive in my view with mains coming in under £10 and desserts £5.50. Very friendly staff who were up for a laugh and a joke. We stopped off on our way to our holiday destination, fire was lovely, it was quiet in there other than a couple of locals and the food was prepared freshly by the chef, she was super friendly and lovely. Posh finger ciabatta was delicious as was the chicken pie. They had fresh made rolls FOR £1! As well. Would recommend!
