Monday Bank Holiday, and with plenty of time to spare before a train journey thoughts turned to shopping and a light lunch. To the surprise of our family most cafes and shops were closed. However, we noted that Chesters was open, so arriving early we were able to take our seats at a table of our choice. The three large cod and chips (cooked to order) came within a few minutes. Staff are friendly, and when eating Inn come to take your order, quite unique but appreciated, food takes little time, but waiting for hot drinks was a slightly larger wait but nothing to complain about. Prices are very reasonable and don't total a lot for a family of 4. Eating inside is a pleasant experience but with nothing overly special with simple tables and chairs,but not an issue.
