“We attended The Salamander for the first time late on a Sunday lunchtime. We were greeted by the amazing Natasha and her colleague Joe. Both of them were engaging and displayed great customer service skills. Natasha looked after us and gave us taster samples of some great drinks. We settled for a cider and the fantastic stout. We then ordered two Sunday roasts: one the lamb and the other the vegan. Both meals were truly great. The roast potatoes were exceptional and the gravy just the best. Could not find any fault with the staff, the venue or the food. A great traditional English pub serving fabulous food. Will definitely return shortly. Thanks Natasha and the rest of the team for a great lunch.”

“Surprisingly big inside with 4 bars, 3 floors, and lots of draught beer. But despite the good beer, the pies are the hilight here. There are a number of pies and gravys to choose from. Both that we tried were excellent.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian pies to choose from.”

“Great pub. Dog friendly. Good space upstairs, deceivingly big inside. Friendly owner/staff. Great pizza, good Guinness (owner also told us he expects it to improve further although it was already very acceptable, even for Irish people!), good vibe. Really glad we found this place on our trip to Bath and would love to come back.”

“Everything was lovely from such a warm welcome from Ling on arrival and we were able to check in early. Ling gave us clear information on Bath and our stay. The room was clean and great powerful shower and hot water. With amenities etc. breakfast there was a good choice and all cooked freshly to order and good quality of food. We will certainly come back again and stay at the Apple Tree. The mints in the hallway a nice touch as were our own slippers.”
