Classic, traditional boozer. Very cosy, great beer, and a great pint of very hard to find Bass straight from the barrel. Very friendly staff. No music and food, which is great - you come here to chat and enjoy some drinks!
Been awhile since I visited the Star (NYE actually!). This time (Summer'23), I was served by Angus, who is Brilliant!The Star is a quaint OLD pub, with a good selection of drinks and several separate areas for seating. Great old style pub. Nothing changed for 200 years, no tv, no piped music, no fruit machines. Firs in the winter, Bass straight from the barrel. A must visit f you're visiting Bath and like unchanged pubs, with good beer and conversation.
