We had a beautiful lunch and wonderfully dog friendly. Sam chatted with my partner while I was looking in the little shop at the back, and made a fuss of our dog and gave her a nice treat. I bought some candles. When we were leaving I must have been gathering my bags up and accidentally left them inside!!!! Sam mentioned earlier she lived near us. When I called to see if I'd left my candles there Sam said she would drop them to me on her way home. I cannot believe the kindness! Talk about above and beyond. What service. Absolutely blown away.

This is a delightful little cafe / Delhi. I'm sure that a coffee is the best in the area and when you speak to locals they are very proud of this little establishment.The coffee art is so nice you don't want to stir your cappuccino! ?Parking: In the height of summer when there are lots of tourists I imagine you would find difficulty parking. I would just say the sensible to allow space for lorries and buses to get through because they do need to get through to supply the local businesses. This is an especially healthy little village in many ways.

This hidden gem of a deli serves the most amazing food. The salads are to die for, and all the delicious baked goods. Although it’s always (understandably) busy, the staff are cheerful and warm. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

A friend told us about Mes Ami in Beckington near Frome. In a lovely remote village with one pub, a garage and not much else one really doesn’t expect to find this incredible little cafe. So neat and clean with a superb menu choice of light lunches which changes every day. Lovely friendly staff and the most beautiful freshly prepared and interesting combinations of yummy lunches snacks and cakes. Unquestionably every time we’re in the area we’ll go out of our way to visit. Find it try it and you’ll be hooked. It’s very special. Colin and Ros. Tetbury.

The cafe is fine, the staff are friendly. However, an alert for vegans - or even if you just prefer non-dairy milk - you pay a surcharge of 40p for soya or oatley. Working on the basis that the price of £2.50 for a tea with dairy milk includes the price of the dairy milk this is 40p EXTRA. And 20p extra for decaff. Not thrilled.

Every bit as good as the other reviewers say it is. There’s really not much more I can add. A fantastic offering of both meat and vegetarian dishes. My husband could hardly decide which cake to choose they all look so fantastic and the service is very friendly. We did wait rather a long time to be served and it really wasn’t that busy but that’s a minor niggle. My only other issue is that we couldn’t bring a small dog into the restaurant, living in Frome, we are so used to being able to take our dog everywhere, it was a shame to have to leave her in the car. Given that we were sitting next to a table where two small children were throwing their food all over the table and floor and screaming their heads off, whilst the parents looked at their mobile phones. It is hard to understand why people would object to a very small, calm dog entering the restaurant and sleeping under our chairs? I am a mother as well as pet owner btw!
