Good night out, good food nice and hot all turned up at the same time. Was a little slow for food to get out but not terrible delay. Wasn’t a packed restaurant area, staff were friendly enough and didn’t overwhelm you with checking in like a lot of places. Helpful with a query. Would go again.
I visited The Bay Tree for Sunday lunch with family members. It is a very nice country style pub. We got our drinks and were taken to our table by a very friendly server. We ordered the meals, roasts all round and they were brought out a few minutes later. The portions were very generous and we loaded them even more with the vegetables brought separately. What a lovely, friendly pub. Warm welcome from all staff, roaring fires and delicious home cooked food. We had home made tomato and basil soup and then homemade steak and Guinness pie with a selection of fresh vegetables and the gammon from the specials menu. Lots of choice for each course.We were actually staying in Wincanton but the drive to the Bay Tree was well worth it to have a selection of fresh, home cooked food and a warm welcome.
