We had such good fun, so much to do and see. Kids loved it, the evening entertainment was faultless, play areas, pools etc where all fun, a lot to do for adults to and it was all very clean and well kept. Staff was also very welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

Hello my name is Ami Davis, I stayed at your resort from the 22 of September for the 90's reload weekend, for my hen do, firstly can I say the deal seemed amazing for 3 nights dinner and breakfast VIP and bottomless brunch bargain right? So firstly I received an email stating that the park was closed and my trip was cancelled and to get a refund 4 days before the trip I was so anxious paranoid and upset that I had 4 days to re organize 11 people for a hen do. I cried that night as I thought my whole hen had been ruined. I rung the next morning to be told that they can't help me as they don't know any info ATM for me to ring back on the Thursday latest so my anxiety and everybody asking me what was going on was to much for me and I couldn't do a thing about it. I then find out on the news that nearly every apartment was flooded. And I have 4 people with severe asthma. Thursday arrives and I ask if I can move to bogner as the severe asthma situation and my anxiety and knowing that the standards of the trip would not be as good to be told me everything will be sorted are apartments are in great condition. We arrive on Friday check in was speedy. And then even more fun begins. We find our apartment to the door full open and won't close, and the smell of damp is unbearable, we open all the windows as the smell of mould is discusting we are on v3 Holnicote Village and v4 the carpets had be removed and replaced but I tripped over the carpet as it had not been put in properly, there was a gapping holes everywhere, the bathroom had mould growing everywhere and the bathrooms had hairs in the plug holes and all over the bathroom, 1 toilet roll for 7 people, Mould in the fridge, the bathroom had mould and the towel dryer The main bedroom with a double had mould growing in the ceiling, and all of our clothes were damp and musky by day 1 the sheets were all damp. 1 plug socket in each room for 7 guests and 3 inside the bathroom more of a niggle then a problem. We then go for dinner and as soon as you walk into the lobby I thought I was going to throw up the smell of damp was unbearable sober you can imagine the next morning.. everyday the smell was horrendous, and my other hens were starting to flare up with asthma they couldn't eat in there the majority of the days. The food options were great and variety was lovely. My next complaint is the bottomless brunch, we arrived everything was great we was seated early and the first set of drinks arrived the waiter dropped the hole tray over me the HEN. 22 drinks all up my leg and black dress no are you ok, do you need a towel. Half mopped up the drinks and left a major slip Hazzard everywhere we then were all drink less, but soon some arrived not all of them, We ordered and the food started to arrive, apart from two , 5 times they got the food wrong and we got huffed at for there mistake we 9 of us had finished and still no food for 2 of ours girls we asked again and we was told everybody else had to be served before we got the last two meals, unacceptable really. Poorly managed and I would not recommend from the service. And lastly VIP is a CON no ques for anything. I paid 50 pp for one free drink. No table service. No tables or chairs at all, still ques at the bar. Overall I'm very disappointed with the rooms facilities, the cleanlynes, and the damp stagnant rooms with mould growing on them both our girls had major allergic reactions and had to take double the amount of tablets and now of work with the issue. I asked to be moved as this was my worry. I was told no. That everything would be fine and as the standard if this is your standard you need to be closed down. The girls made my weekend, I could t find staff to help, and I was told you was fully booked via phone so I could t change my accomodations. Miss sent email for closing then couldn't cancel or get refund Girls had asthma Door wouldn't lock. Not hot water. Mould on ceiling Carpet not layed properly Stgnent smell everywhere Swimming pool not cleaned Vip waste money Drinks thrown over

We had to cancel our holiday 11-15 September because of the unexpected & tragic death of my brother. I understand that Butlins have to have some money, but they took everything, including the half board & passes we paid for. When I informed Butlins of this news there was zero empathy, just a need to get across we lose everything. Not even a letter of condolence. Yet all too happy to take your money.

first thing to mention is that the trip is due to be in October so has not actually happened yet. Got home today to find an email to say that due to flooding our trip has been cancelled. That was very unfortunate, but out of both their and our hands which is understandable. However the very disappointing thing is that when we have called to discuss options, we were given both other destinations as alternatives, however we would be paying the difference for the cost? Now i am not trying to make light of situation, however we have paid out already a significant amount of money for 2 apartments, along with premium food and action passes for 10 people and 2 apartments. To then be told that we would be looking at around another 300 per room to move to Skegness or 100 per room to move to Bognor but with a room only basis and non premium dining, which makes the trip much more expensive through no fault of our own. Whilst the flood was not Butlins fault at all of course, their insurance will cover the repairs and as there are spaces at other sites it would cost nothing for the company to switch us to keep the booking rather than having to refund it all back to us again? it appears that Butlins are trying to hold out on selling these rooms / apartments at the higer rate, rather than keeping the money they already have and switching us out. It sparks as biting your nose off to spite your face and is an example of very poor customer service. or at the very least an unwillingness to try and help. You have the ability to move the booking and allow us the holiday that we paid for months but just cannot be bothered to help. Thanks

Glad of the flooding as it's the only time the camp's seen water on the floors !! Dirty disgusting place. Never again. We left early as it was just so filthy. I can't believe they charge so much for people to stay in squalor !!!

We were on level 3 ( just as well after the flood) 3 bedroom apartment, very clean and tidy. Double bed very comfy, singles not so comfy. Sofa had been cleaned and still quite damp. Good choice of food in restaurant. Only criticism would be… need to sort out queue system in venues, maybe put barriers up ?

Always have a great time at the big weekenders. Everyone is friendly and up for a laugh! We were there when it flooded and could not fault Butlins at all, they went above and beyond. I imagine it was utter chaos behind the scenes but that wasn’t shown to the customers. Staff were walking round the accommodation asking if we were ok and needed anything like sandbags & heaters. And they ensured that the entertainment carried on where it could. Well done Butlins!

Well where do I start... apartment filthy... carpet filthy... my feet were black from walking on the carpet. Kitchen had food stains. Bottle tops and glass under furniture. Flaky paint .. food hall I asked about gluten free option. I have coeliac disease. Told to read labels..no effort made on main meals.. pudding was good... breakfast poor no gf toast or cereal... surroundings smell of urine and weed... swimming pool.. smell of urine .. toilets filthy and blocked. One lift for wheel chair users .. by the time we got up there the show was almost over. Very disappointed ?

Arrived and discovered that they had put us on the 3rd floor in the gold apartments. 3 of our party are over 70 and 2, 5 year olds, one with special needs. I quickly went to customer services and they told me to ring the phone number- no way! I needed to sort this now so I waited and waited and someone did come to say there was nothing they could do. All rooms were allocated, I asked why would they put 3 adults over 70 on a top floor and they said it’s randomly assigned- well they need a better system! I asked for a stair gate for my toddler- they don’t have them as it’s a fire risk?! But 3 70+ years olds trying to get down the stairs isn’t?! So we had to barricade my toddler in the living area whenever we were in the apartment! Shocking. Anyway, other bad points no lock on one bath room door, showers didn’t work either. Fridge froze cans of drink and they exploded. Another bathroom door wouldn’t open. Good points, little fair ground, food was good in the deck and the other one, cleaning staff were great- hard to get a large table. Pool was walk in so great for a toddler that doesn’t understand queuing. Would we stay again? Not sure

We had the most amazing 4 night stay at butlins minehead, our accommodation, a comfort apartment, was spotless, comfortable and had all that we needed, there is so much to do and a great range of activities for varied age groups, the staff everywhere on site were all so friendly, helpful and polite, the red coats were amazing, they work so hard to deliver the very best in entertainment and offer so much, can't wait to come back again soon ? x
