Visited for lunch. Was greeted promptly and with a smile. Order taken and food arrived within a minute. Packaging was all recyclable, with wooden forks and cardboard boxes. Chips were hot and served with a generous amount of salt and vinegar (perfectly done ?). Best chips I've had in a while. Small cod was much bigger than expected. Very good value.Service and food were 10/10. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again next time I am in the town.
I've visited Minehead about half a dozen time. In my experience this place does the best fish and chips. The batter is always crisp and the chips fresh. I haven't tried every single chip shop but I don't intend to try any other after using this one.
Love this place, drive 20 odd miles to sit on the front and eat proper, freshly cooked fish and chips. Fish cooked to order, not soggy lumps and nice, hot, crispy chips. Nice to get proper service and a cook that obviously makes an effort. Go here !
