In a stunning area of Exmoor - no complaints from me!”
“Very good food, nicely served at an excellent price. Promptly delivered super fluffy well filled omelettes, perfect for a summer lunch. Choice of two fillings from a selection came with salad garnish and plenty of chips. Happy to recommend. Good selection of drinks, soft and alcoholic. All you need from a country pub!”

“Brilliant pub, staff are fantastic as is the landlady. Food is brilliant and all very reasonably priced. Drinks are good quality. Very close to the train station so a great first stop on a crawl round taunton but you won't want to leave!”

“A brilliant lunchtime experience — warm, welcoming, and well worth a visit I recently visited this pub for lunch with my mother, and we’re both so glad we did — what a lovely place. Parking was straightforward, with a large car park that includes a couple of disabled spaces conveniently located near the entrance. Access into the building was easy, with wide doors and no steps to navigate. Inside, the space is surprisingly large, offering a range of seating options — from formal restaurant-style tables to more casual, cosy spots with comfy chairs. Several flatscreen TVs were showing sport during our visit, adding to the lively but relaxed atmosphere. There’s a large, welcoming bar as you enter through the front, and a spacious outdoor seating area at the rear. Despite its size, the venue felt warm and inviting — likely thanks to its clever layout of separate rooms and alcoves that provide a more intimate dining experience, all while maintaining a stylish and aesthetically pleasing design. We were impressed by how modern, clean, and presentable everything was, yet it still retained traditional British pub charm, with features like a classic bar area and a lovely log fire. The menu offered great variety, including a dedicated gluten-free menu, which was ideal for my mother. Free guest Wi-Fi is available, and the Vintage Inns app is a handy companion — with all menus, information, and even a loyalty scheme. We received £10 off our bill just for registering! As for the food: I started with the chorizo sausages, which were absolutely delicious. My wife and mother both enjoyed the padron peppers, which were equally well received. For the main, I had the chicken parmigiana — perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Dessert was a baked vanilla cheesecake accompanied by an iced Biscoff coffee… at which point I entered a very content food coma. Special mention must go to our server, Ellie, who was outstanding throughout. Friendly, fast, efficient, and kind enough to humour my awful jokes — she was a genuine highlight of the experience and a real credit to the business. Great service can make or break a visit, and in this case, it made it even more memorable. Give Ellie a pay rise! Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this pub. If you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to eat, you’d be mad not to stop in. I’m confident you’ll be glad you did.”
