Came to The George recently for afternoon tea. Wow! What a fantastic selection of food- lots of choice. Fantastic value for money. Very well catered to everyone’s needs. Staff were very accommodating and very friendly. The food tasted amazing, very satisfying and very filling- we had to take some home we had so much. Would definitely recommend.
I cannot rate the Royal George highly enough. A very friendly greeting welcomed us, it was warm and cosy and we were shown to a delightful round table with comfortable chairs and enough room between tables to feel like it was just us. There were some quirky lamps and objects which added to the charm of the place. The menu was concise but gave enough food for thought, then there was the specials menu, oh my! Friendly and welcoming. Generous and tasty pub grub! Well worth a visit. FYI - Businesses are still open in West Coker despite road blocks. Explain your visit and they'll let you through during the temporary roadworks.
