I took my wife out for Date night. i booked a few days before for a Friday evening meal and although they were full, they managed to squeeze me in. This was a very kind gesture. We arrived 10 minutes early to have a drink before dinner and no sooner as we got our drinks, we were shown to our table. As told when we booked, the restraunt was full. My son took me for my Birthday on 16th December, it was a lovely evening. The food was excellent, my Son and my Husband had the Butchers Block, wow what a feast that was, I had the Japanese stir fry, and I think it was probably the best stir fry I had ever had. We also took my 18 month old grandson and he was welcomed with open arms (not the case everywhere), the staff were brilliant with him and they couldn't do enough for us. We are actually regular patrons of the Bistro, and have left reviews before, but not recently . So we had booked for Saturday night and pre-ordered the Chateaubriand .We were met at the door when we arrived and greeted cordially then shown to our table. The waitress took our wine order which was served promptly. The owner came to the table for a word and to ask about extras with our order.
