This café bar is situated inside The Earl of Doncaster hotel. We had Christmas Afternoon tea which was nice but not worth the £5 difference to their standard afternoon tea. They were quite busy and we were off to one side on a slightly raised area, even though the waiters had to pass our table to enter the kitchen, we had to shout to get their attention when we needed more tea etc. There is limited parking behind the hotel and the main eating area is wheelchair accessible. I visited this restaurant twice for dinner in 2 days, once with a large group of fellow conference delegates and a second time with my parents. The restaurant exceeded my expectations on both occasions, particularly on the first night, when with less than a week's notice (due to being let down by another establishment), they managed to serve a group of more than 20 (with no pre-orders) in a very quick and efficient manner, whilst waiting staff remained polite, efficient and professional...read full review

Had a birthday afternoon tea with six members of my family ,food was plentiful and freshStaff were efficient and friendly ,and there was a choice of afternoon teas ,.we had 2 gluten free( this was a bonus finding these) I vegetarian ,1 savoury and 3 classics .Loved the art deco surroundings will definitely go here again
