The Costa outlet in Waterstones Book Shop is an oasis. Very busy at lunchtime. A good place for a coffee and panini, toasted sandwich etc with a lovely view of the Minster Church, in the surrounding calm of the book shop. Incidentally if you like real lemony tarts, Costa's lemon tarts are to die for.

Very busy place when I arrived at 11am on a Tuesday morning. Service was swift and friendly. I ordered a medium house filer coffee for 1.75. You can have your choice of milk with it. Free WiFi from the French gate centre.
