As it says, untouched for 80yrs +. Traditional old pub, blast from the past, gives you faith in life, i.e., some things should never change, particularly if you are a genuine pub goer. Beer well kept, served with a smile.
Absolutely fantastic little pub. The barmaid that was working when we were there was wonderful: very cheerful and polite and provided great service. The pub is quite small with a front bar and a lounge in the back. The pub was very clean and tidy. There was a fire in the lounge and what looked like an air conditioner as well for the summer months. Easy to see why this is a Good Beer Guide CAMRA 2023 pub. Proper town centre two room pub with an older cliental opposite the station. Madge went for Acorn Barnsley bitter as the very short lived British August Summer ended in a downburst. Really love the traditional back lounge. Madge took a pint of Acorn Barnsley bittet. Lovely. Nice place to start or finish a Doncaster pub crawl.
