Just a great local pub to go to, everybody gets on ,plenty of banter about football, great choice of drinks and Paul and Christine are the hosts with the most, always guaranteed a warm welcome at the Monky
Brilliant Landlord and Lady with an awesome dog called Miller. Very friendly and welcoming.Local pub with an open feel to new comers. Always someone willing to have a general chat with who ever. Very welcoming.During the world cup they laid on some good grub and sent round packets of free little garlic breads and brochette which was a nice touch.We used to use this venue for our managers meetings and the function room is often quite enough for these meetings.

The Monkwood is a great friendly little pub, the owners are very nice and polite, drinks are reasonably priced, there isn't a great deal of seating available but it is still a great choice for a few drinks. It has lots of outdoor seating as well as an outdoor children's play area. Inside there is a pool table and some nights the pub also hosts games such as poker night. It also offers a free function room.
