We have just enjoyed a family birthday gathering with all of us enjoying a Sunday dinner. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the food. It arrived hot & well served up. I had turkey, stuffing, pig in blanket, Yorkshire pudding, cranberry, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli & gravy. Definitely going to go back. Excellent value for money.Vegetarian options: Kids roast dinner with vegetarian sausages. Clean plates all round.

I go to the Woodman quite a lot for lunch and it is always a reasonable meal for the price. It is a pleasant pub to sit in with friendly staff.Today I visited and ordered a jacket potato with cheese and salad. I was disappointed as the potato was very small and not much salad.It certainly wasn't worth the money on this occasion. It was half the size of a jacket that you usually get as a pub meal. I was told the potatoes were a lot smaller than usual which isn't really acceptable....read full review
