Highly recommend, lovely little family run pub made you feel very welcome. Food was very nice home cooked and fresh. Brilliant range of gins I had apple and rhubarb and my partner had cask ale. Pub was cleaned on a regular basis due to Covid, tables and bar were sanitised after each customer. Will definitely be going back beautiful pub.
Casual lunch outing today and decided to try The Green Dragon . First thing I noticed when we walked in was how spotless clean the pub is . The gent behind the bar was friendly and helpful as was the lady responsible for the cooking ( landlord and landlady) . Moved out of Thurgoland about 40 years ago. On a rare visit back this weekend my wife and I popped in for a couple of beers prior to a walk. Received a warm welcome and enjoyed a nice chat with new landlady, Aya, who had only taken charge of the pub recently. Wish you every success Aya for your future in a lovely village.
