Was told this place was good, understatement, it is excellent! Normally we only eat fish n chips from the coast on holidays but this is every bit as good. We also had a Greek meze box...wow proper nice. Great place for a takeaway, and spotlessly clean ? five ? ? ? ? ?
Because of roadworks I feared I would never actually get out of Alrewas, so feeling peckish I called in at the Fryer. The shop is clean, bright and welcoming. I ordered the smallest portion of fish and chips and was a little taken aback at the price....£7.50. This is between £1 and £2 MORE than I usually pay at any of the chippies not so far away. When I opened the tray I found a small serving of chips, rather less than I'm used to, and the fish was quite grey and unappetising....read full review

Fish and chips takeaway
Called in on the way home. Never visited before but welcomed by good old fashioned service by a lady who Is a credit to the business. The food was checked before it was served and was top quality, piping hot with a sensational Irish sauce on the side. Parking outside the shop. One minute off the A38. Highly recommend on all levels.
