“Been coming to the pub for years and ever since Fiona has taken the pub over it had been booming. Great music playing with live music a lot of the time with James Bond playing on the tv which never goes amiss. So happy to see the pub thriving again it’s a great little place full of locals that will talk to anyone. Would deffo recommend!”

“Went for the bottomless lunch menu and the service was great and the servers were alert with bringing out the refill of drinks , the food was nice and we were seated as a larger group by ourselves which felt nice. They also provided boxes for the left over food which was appreciated”

Regular things happening in the evenings. On a Thursday night it's Bingo or play your cards right. Myself and my partner go for a couple of quiet ones while the youngest is at brownies.”

“Visited from out the area whilst on a work trip 8/9/25 Googled for a traditional pub in burton and this place came up. Warm and welcoming atmosphere made everyone feel right at home. The lady who served us was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we received wonderful service. The pub's charm, coupled with its friendly staff, created an inviting environment.

Lady working had time for everyone. Felt really comfortable here especially when visiting an area I don’t know. Took lots of care in preparing my drink which you don’t get in a lot of places. Asked for my glass preference, ice, straw etc.”

“Brought my Mum here for a surprise Birthday breakfast yesterday ,and we had the loveliest time. The food was beautiful, of course, but what really stood out to us was the service. We were so looked after by the lady who was behind the bar (I feel dreadful we didn't get her name!) She really pulled out all the stops to make it extra special for Mum, we're so grateful and will definitely be back. Thank you so much!”
