“This place is just unbelievable. We were dining in there on Friday 14th August when my aunt was suddenly feeling unwell and passed out. The staff were absolutely incredible in the way that they handled everything and so very professional in comforting my aunt until we were all ready to leave.
Two of the staff particularly Erin and Tina ( there were a few others) went over and above making sure that everything was ok .
The food, service etc was incredible as usual, and we certainly won’t hesitate in visiting again.
My aunt made a full recovery and is back to her happy go lucky self.

“I’ve been for lunch a number of times and it never disappoints. Excellent home cooked food. Lovely polite staff with and nice atmosphere. Pre booking a lunch time table is a must as it can get busy.”

“First time, here, and won't be the last, went for a family, meal, and the food was excellent, the service was great, a lovely place to visit, the car park is a bit, small, but there is a bit of space on the road outside, definitely recommend, one small note, it's a card only place, but that is, normal now,”

“Made a last minute booking for Sunday lunch, they found us a good table spot and the service was enthusiastic and fast. I was served by Ethan who was very informative about the menue and the deals they had on. The drinks came right away and there was no wait on the food it followed straight after. Overall it was a pleasant and warm experience with quality food and a comfortable atmosphere.”

“We called in whilst passing through Leek and we are really glad we did! Efficient, friendly service and we were ordering take-away full English breakfasts which were packaged so well and with great care. We were surprised at the speed too in which they were made. Really great experience and would not hesitate to come back or recommend to others. It was obvious other customers were enjoying their meals too from the feedback we heard.”

“Our first time in Leek so googled where to eat at lunchtime. Duck.Goose bistro was just perfect. We had meals from the light bites menu, good choice & the food was absolutely delicious and worthy of a few rosettes! Lovely presentation. Great service, very nice ambience. This is hands down our favourite place for lunch! Whenever my little boy and I go, it’s always such a lovely experience. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, the staff are genuinely kind – especially Sam and Jess, who always go out of their way to be sweet with my little boy.

He loves the beautiful window displays and gets so excited to pick out a cake from the glass counter. The themed cakes are incredible – the Gruffalo one was his favourite – and the lemon cake is honestly next level. Everything is made with such care, and you can tell they really take pride in what they do.

We always leave with full bellies and big smiles. Couldn’t recommend it more!”

“This is definitely my favourite cafe in Leek! The coffee is top notch, the food is delicious (obviously the bread is perfect), and the cakes/slices are tasty. You can really tell that they care about the quality.

I love that they have great veggie/vegan options too, and it's all very fairly priced.

To top it off, the staff are very friendly and the service is quick.

Honestly can't fault anything. So happy we have this little place on our doorstep.

Vegetarian options: The vegan no chicken, bacon and mayo sandwich is delicious.”

“A family meal for 4 adults, 1 newborn baby and a young dog. All catered for beautifully. Gorgeous meal, kindly served with some delicious ales.
A fabulous pub that you will enjoy visiting whenever you get the chance.”
