It is proper Chinese restaurant in Newcastle under Lyme. 99.9% Asian people are coming there, Peony restaurant serves foods not like other Chinese restaurants.You should try to feel and taste the amazing food at Peony, ever penny you spent would be worth it.The owner and staff are very friendly.
Made a random stop before going to Liverpool but the food here was surprisingly very delicious!! The hot and sour fried fish was fresh and they were very accommodating when we order off-menu Asian style omelette.However, it was cash only so be prepared!

Don't be put off by the downstairs view. Once in the restaurant upstairs, you certainly won't be disappointed. The Peony was recommended to me by a guy from Hong Kong. The food is authentic and delicious, very generous portions and inexpensive. There were a few Chinese families eating when we arrived, which is always a good sign! Booking would be a good idea, it's not a huge place. Could eat there every night!! Enjoy!
