Walked the Stour Valley trail and called for lunch at the Angel Inn, more by luck than anything else. It was, our lucky day! Two of us had drinks, chips, chicken wings and salt and chilli squid for £20. However, I must say that my general perception is that you get what you pay for so expectations weren't too high. The missus and myself had a wonderful crab salad for lunch, followed by ice cream, all washed down with a few drinks, great food, great service, would definitely recommend the food.

This pub is a no frills heart of the village pub. The food is hearty good value with a good selection. Dogs are welcome and there are always free treats on the bar for them. Entertainment is provided regularly in their large marquie.
