I love this pub. The atmosphere is nice. We went for Sunday lunch. I visit the UK to come home once a year and was looking forward to a traditional beef roast. What a disappointment! The beef was fatty and we had to ask for steak knives to cut it. I still couldn't cut mine so I gave up on eating it. The veg and Yorkshire puds were tasty and we let the staff know. We visited the Cock And Bell on Wednesday 27th of September. When we arrived most of the tables had reserved on them. This was approximately about 3:40 pm. We asked one of the bar staff for a table and we asked could we sit in the corner, she said yes okay. Decided to go for a bite to eat on a Tuesday lunchtime. Pub was warm & inviting and the menu looked OK. I had gammon and my wide had the katsu curry. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and arrived within a reasonable time. Overall, good value for money.
