Great pub set in a lovely location. Food was also spot on and great value for money. Staff and landlord were very welcoming. This is a pub well worth a visit, especially if you like a pint of ale. I myself had cider and another thing that I though was a great touch was they keep the glasses in the fridge aswel nice and cool ready for your pint. You don't see this much these days. All in all well worth a visit and I will definitely be going back.
Our annual visit with our Morris side to take part in the Belchamp Morris St George's Day celebrations.Lovely pub - good choice of beer and an excellent welcome from the staff and the wonderful Belchamp Morris Men too.If only in 2023 they could have booked some better weather - this year we got a tad wet & in 2022, we got sunburnt!!Always a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon - we look forward to visiting again soon just for a normal, non Morris visit.

I recently visited a wake which was held here. I enjoyed a well kept pint of London Pride which I'm guessing was very reasonably priced (since it was a free bar) compared with my location in the Southend area! There was a well stoked open fireplace with a good supply of fuel!! The buffet was well presented, varied and in abundance all evening!Definitely a place to visit - I would if lived a lot nearer!!
