Super family run pub. Very welcoming & friendly service. The pies and lamb burger with Stilton cheese were great. Nice puddings too. 5 or 6 good vegan/vegetarian options (a bigger & better choice than most pubs) Food is homemade and locally sourced where possible.Good red wine, I was driving, so I had zero alcohol GuinnessUnfortunately, we were passing through, so a much deserved second visit is unlikely

A random pub stop for food turned out to be really good

After a desperate search for a good pub sandwich in the area, we happened upon the White Horse. We were greeted with the warmest welcome, and a simple but perfectly formed sandwich menu (although everything looked good!) The sandwiches were great, and the chips were clearly homemade -such a nice surprise and really over delivered! Thank you such a perfect lunch :)

A 'real' pub, old fashioned, multi rooms, no loud music or gaming machines. Good food reasonably priced and service with a laugh. Enjoyable.

Wonderful Sunday lunch. Beautifully home cooked and steaming hot. Plenty of choice and fabulous selection of vegetables. Most like home cooked roast I’ve had eating out. The staff were really lovely. I have recommended to friends and will definitely return.

We arrived with a big group (18 of us) unannounced. Staff was so helpful and great. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. The atmosphere in the pub was so cosy. Would definitely recommend visiting this local business.

Wow what a lovely pub. We pop in randomly and we were shown such a lovely welcome we felt like we've been locals for years and dog lovers too.

What an excellent pub, we had a great time there, even though our little Peggy scared everyone off by shouting across the pub. Food was delicious and service very friendly. Wished we could have stayed longer...Kid-friendliness: They love kids there
