Great village pub. Nice and friendly, both staff and locals. One of the best Sunday roasts we’ve ever had.

Just had a lovely dinner at The Fleece, so much on the menu to choose from, we were spoilt for choice!Tempura broccoli, nachos and halloumi fries were the selections we made and they didn’t disappoint.. followed by a beautiful fully loaded and very generous roast dinner! We were full to bursting and it was totally worth it. Finished dinner off with a drink in the cosy bar next to the fire! So lovely, can’t wait to go back.. xFood & drinks: Extensive menu , cosy, homely pub that is dog friendly.

We have lived in the area for nearly 4 years, and on our first visit to Boxford we noticed that the place had unfortunately closed. Then along came covid!. Finally we got to visit, early evening on Saturday and amazed to find a full bar, and friendly relaxed atmosphere. An old fashioned pub at its very best. We only had a drink, however food was available. Super dog friendly too, and will be returning regularly.

Historic old inn dating back to the 15th century. Good selection of beers, friendly staff and locals. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Food menu looked good but we not available on the day we visited.

A varied menu with a chef not afraid to try new things. The dishes feel very uptown date and something you would find in high end restaurants rather than a local pub which I think is great. The portions are still what you would expect from a pub but they are refined and well presented. The new chef, who I was not surprised to find specialises in pastry excelled herself with the brownie dessert I had. Innovative, delicious and beautiful to look at.My meal was only let down by the very cheap catering condiments that I was provided with my meal. I felt it was out if step with the overall quality of the food and slightly undermined what they are trying to achieve with their new menu and food style. The outside seating area could also use some work as it's pretty drab. I'm sure some of these issues will be ironed out in the future and I would like to go back and see how its changed.

A great location and a nice pub generally but the hosts are what make this place really special.Amazing hospitality, good selection of drinks and delicious, affordable food - easily the best steak and the best chips I've ever had (and I've had plenty!).Friendly locals too. Overall, I can't rate this place highly enough and I wish it were my local.
