Great little pub. Frequented loyally by locals for a good reason.

If you like an old basic unspoiled pub, then this could be for you. Full of locals and their dogs, with a huge woodburner fire in an inglenook. Plain but wholesome fare, with a nod to an old patron, the late actor Oliver Reed, who once climbed up the open chimney to esconce himself in the hidden priest hole.

Yet another great meal prepared by Alan. Our resident Head chef and landdlord Hes got it right. A very good ?.. This pubs slowly starting to get noticed by people as the only one to visit when in Ockley Oliver Reeds old local. Pay it a visit you won't be disappointed..

It's how a pub used to be before they became parts of chain ownership that concentrates on food. Friendly and inviting full of welcoming locals

Wonderful pub! This is genuinely the friendliest pub I’ve ever been in. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and as if we were old friends. Lovely landlords and a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Can’t recommend it enough.
