Lovely little pub, very old with low ceilings.Great service and the roast dinner was great, really tasty. The desserts were amazing too. We were a group of four adults and three children.

Staff were very friendly and a lot of fun, food was so yummy, all the locals welcoming, definitely give it a visit lots of outside seating and a large chunk under cover. And fantastic walks as well.

We went for a quiet Sunday Lunch at this charming little pub in Walliswood. I wanted the pork loin roast and my son wanted the roast lamb, sadly one was not on the menu and the other was sold out we think? We chose roast beef as an alternative which had ample gorgeous beef, lovely vegetables but drowned in a very watery gravy with no taste. I can only assume it was made with a few granules as it ruined the otherwise excellent meal. Big shame, please can this be resolved as I would definitely return otherwise. Maybe serve the gravy separately…?

After looking at reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided on the Scarlett Arms for our Sunday lunch. What a bitter disappointment it was. When you look forward to your main meal of the day, it makes it worse when you get a bad meal. We decided to have the roast Lamb. Whay can I say.. I got a plate of fat for my dinner. Just no meat at all. Our friend had half fat and Lamb. What I would like to know is, when the cook/chef puts that fat on a plate with no meat, they cant think oh that looks good. Talking about the roast. We all got 3 slices of carrot, 3 slices of Courgette (what the hell is Courgette doing on a roast dinner) ONE repeat One smallest Florette of Cauliflower you have ever seen. The gravey was as thin as water and not what was on the menue. At £17.50 this was very expensive for a roast dinner of this sub standard meal. The deserts were great. What is wrong with pubs putting the cheapest veg on a roast dinner. I did complain and my meal was taken of the bill without protest or an explanation.

Congratulations to all concerned - Five Stars All Round. We were out for a drive, saw this pretty pub and thought this is just what we are looking for. So we stopped and took our two dogs in. I was supplied with a chair as I am disabled and cannot manage benches. Then we were served by charming staff with a really delicious, and beautifully presented, meal in such lovely surroundings. A real find and one that others should know about. Jane and Beth

Lovely lunch in their pretty garden with my mum. Lamb pie was tasty but mum's smoked mackerel was totally delicious, so fresh and pretty, it was delightful. Friendly and helpful service too.

I feel rather conflicted about this venue. A pretty and quaint pub? Absolutely! Interesting low ceiling, interior with a warm feel to it? Yes! Nicely maintained beer garden? Another ‘yes.’ Venue was pleasantly busy outside, when four of us arrived here, on a weekday, late afternoon. I’d been told by a couple from Oxshott that the food here is very good and the Fish and Chips which were ordered by two of our group, were apparently excellent. So, why do I feel conflicted? I think it’s me being slightly unfair, perhaps…. It’s the view, or lack thereof….Walliswood isn’t really remarkable, in comparison to many of the nearby, adjacent villages, and that was my only slight problem with the location, solely.

We came across this pub by accident after leaving Hannah Peschar Sculpture Gardens just a few minutes away. Really pleased we decided to stop. Parking immediately opposite the pub. A friendly welcome at the bar. A pub with character and obvious history. We took our beers and sat in the garden under a sunshade. Just as well, as it was a September heatwave. Sandwiches arrived soon after. Tasty and good value for money. Pity we live so far away as we'd happily return on a regular basis. Recommended.

Our neighbours recommended this pub so when drove over on the off-chance they might have a table for us. We were not hopeful as it was a Sunday and the car park opposite was almost full. But the really friendly staff managed to find us a table and we had a lovely Sunday lunch. My nut roast was top class. A nice couple of pints of Badger bitter too. The very hard working waitress apologised the food might take a while but it arrived quite quickly, piping hot. All in all a really lovely experience. Great service, good food and drink, and ample parking.
