After being let at the last minute by another restaurant who had electrical problems, we decided to try Averna for the first time to celebrate my birthday with friends. We had no problem getting a table (Thur) and found the food was amazing, the ambiance was warm and cosy, and the waiters were attentive and even bought out a cake with candle! All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you.
Absolutely the best restaurant in the Esher/Claygate area.Exceptional menu cooked to perfection. The whole atmosphere is based around customer attention and unobtrusive service with all staff making the eating experience an absolute pleasure. so nice to be treated like a special customer.

Great place for Sunday lunch, menu gave one so much to choose from and the food was amazing. We had garlic prawns and apple and blue cheese as starters. Followed by fillet of beef, calves livers, lobster ravioli and seafood risotto. Never had I tried roast pineapple, it was amazing. Staff were super friendly , can’t wait to return.
