Highly recommended.

The Grn, leonard's Road, Claygate, EsherAbsolutely fabulous lunch, we have never seen such an extensive menu - I am disabled, the proprietor and a member of staff literally carried me in from the pavement into the restaurant on one of their chairs, I could not ask for such exemplary kindness and the food and the choices were out of this world! We cannot recommend this gem opposite Claygate Green more highly!

Alma Rd, EsherMarney's is a local legend for good reason. The food is out of this world with traditional favourites as well as modern Asian fusion delights, something for everyone. The service is fast and attentive and the traditional pub vibe is very cool. Highly recommended !

We’ve just had another amazing lunch, and it reminded me that we’ve been coming here for years. The food is always consistently delicious, the service is warm, and the whole experience feels reliable and special every time.
I just felt inspired to finally leave this honest review because they truly deserve it. I’m so grateful they’re still in business — places like this are rare. Highly recommend.

The food was lovely. We had a Dansak (Madras hot), Balti Dansak which was with Lamb and it was to die for (exactly as It sounds, a more oniony Dansak beautifulu balanced) and finally a Lamb madras. Really hard to find a fault. We visit the area once a year, the previous year we had an Indian in Esher and it was double the price for the same meal and was much better all round. Although we didn't get a drink spilt on us at the previous place but mistakes happen ha! We will be back.

So many Chinese restaurants have disappeared but this one is great quality and fresh ingredients. Duck comes off the bone which is awesome

When we checked the reviews, a couple were surprising in their comments but on balance we decided to go ahead, place an order and make our own minds up. We are happy to report the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. And, the food both excellent and fair value for money. We were a group of eight, so tried a good selection of dishes and are happy to report we will order again.

Pizza Expresses everywhere are just brilliant, all the same feel but charmingly different. A strange thing to say reviewing pizza but it’s true!

40 Esher Grn, EsherCame out for a 'girls night' - 7 of us all together. It's a lovely venue. The food was good. The staff were friendly and gave a warm welcome however service was super slow. The restaurant wasn't busy but we had to wait a while for menus to be given. It took a long time for our food order to be taken and for the food to arrive. We asked for parmesan for some of the dishes, they didn't have any but provided cheddar instead. They forgot to give us mayo and ketchup so had to find a member of staff to get it as there was no one around. One of the girls is vegan - the dessert options were poor. She requested olive oil to dip her sourdough bread but didn't have any so gave a different oil but didn't tell us what it was. It felt a bit amateur in terms of service and availability of basic ingredients. It was a nice evening but would think twice about booking again.

95-97 High St, EsherThe food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent. We do go here when we go out for thai food. So much better than giggling squid. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for the food is because the prawns in bettel leaf was only one prawn cut up amongst the 5 parcels. This was very disappointing, particularly as the dish was very flavoursome. It is also not priced as a starter of only one prawn.
The seabass was amazing as was the massam curry. Top scores for those dishes both in taste and value.
The lychee martini is so delicious.

We had a chicken tikka biryani and a chicken tikka karahi, delivered to eat at home, and the food was outstanding. My biryani was perfectly cooked to my preferred level of heat, and was packed with meat, the sauce full of vegetables. The karahi likewise had big tender chunks of chicken, and the onions brought a lovely sweetness to the sauce. The portions were generous too :)
I'll certainly be ordering from there again.

I went on Friday evening just for some chips, they were excellent and fresh. However they only take cash payment, which is fine by me as I'm old school. Do check if they are open in the month of August as they close the shop for holiday.

14 Manor Rd N, Hinchley Wood, EsherDebbie provided us with a delicious afternoon tea following a family funeral. Everything was freshly made and delivered perfectly on time. Our guests had nothing but praise for the food, including a great selection of sandwiches, canapes, including mini quiches and vol-au-vents, cakes, scones and fresh fruit tarts. The mini Cornish pasties, still warm from the oven, disappeared within minutes!

Does a good range of coffee and limited food options, good quality generally but the coffee prices are fairly steep with a ‘suggested’ tip proposed for each card transaction which I didn’t much care for. Has some nice photography on the walls of various mountain passes.

Brightwater Brewery Platform 3
Station Approach, The Parade, Claygate, EsherA real quirky and pleasant drink to be had here. Alex the friendly owner serves up some really tasty beers on offer. The little nipper has a really good hoppy taste for the ABV and the coal porter was one of the nicest porters I've had. This has been on my list to come and visit for a while and I'm glad I got round to finally doing it.
On another note, the comment below about the footbridge can be ignored now as it has been repaired, so you can walk over the bridge from the London bound platform with ease. Cheers! ?

The Grn, Claygate, EsherI just had to write and share how lovely my meal was last night. Although very busy at 6pm on a Friday night with a full booking of the restaurant for a function, we were give a warm welcome by bar staff and customers. The menu wasn’t huge but offered a good range of choices . As a vegetarian I had the choice of two very different mains and I chose the (V) Oven Baked Aubergine Salad – couscous, ratatouille, halloumi, tomato, Rocket oil, pickle slaw salad - £15.00 and it was gorgeous, cooked to perfection and the perfect meal for a cold winters night. So often the vegetarian option is an after thought on pub menus, put there to tick a box but this was truly delicious and they knew how to cook halloumi ! My friend also thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips. I just wish I’d had room for a pudding as I later heard from some others that they’d loved theirs.

Sandown Park, More Ln, EsherWe had a fantastic drinks and canapés evening for 40 people on Friday evening for our end of school year Christmas celebration. Sam and her team were very easy to deal with and quick to respond to us.The clubhouse was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and the lighting was nicely dimmed. There was a great selection of drinks available and the canapés were fresh, hot and very delicious.We have rebooked for our summer party already.Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Sam was very helpful in letting us know all ingredients to account for the few in our party who had gluten and nut allergies.Wheelchair accessibility: This venue is all one level and has a disabled loo and a wide hallway.

You can really tell they take pride in what they do – super friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything ran smoothly even though the place was busy. They checked in on our table a couple of times and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. Proper example of how good service should be – it made the whole visit feel more enjoyable.
