Excellent meals since it changed from being a Harvester - at last a place near home that we could rely on to deliver the goods. Came to book for another occasion, only to find it permanently closed! So very sad.

Have been here for lunch with family and also as a couple for an evening meal. On both occasions we have been the service has been impeccable. The portion sizes are large and we couldn’t find a fault with the food at all. We are visiting again this weekend and this place is definitely a firm favourite now when eating out.

Excellent service at what was a quieter time. Good selection on the menu, apart from the sweet desserts. However, there was an excellent cheese board on offer. Be careful if you're elderly and/or disabled, or with young children, as the car park is the other side of a busy road.

A wonderful restaurant just off the Hogs Back (A31). Well worth a visit. Large selection of food choices, with good starters, including sharing platters, mains and desserts. Good variety of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The staff were attentive without being over-bearing.

Pleasant pub, reasonable menu and great service - even when we left a handbag and (small) daughter's jumper behind, packed up and given to the courier we jacked up. Thoroughly reccomend!

I have to admit, it is not always possible to get good service, nice atmosphere and great food all in one package but I do believe the Jolly Farmer has it sorted. The seating area is well laid out, space for all individual parties but close enough to give a cosy atmosphere, service with a smile and efficiently and above all, great food which is well presented and tastes fab. We have visited this establishment twice now in only a few weeks and have not been disappointed on either occasion. We will be back for sure. Whatever your secret is - it works!
