Tarana, High St, LingfieldAbsolutely love this place. Generally always come in for a takeaway, but eat in now and again.
Staff are always super friendly and very happy to chat with you about different dishes to expand your palate from your usual orders.
It’s always a case of sitting at the bar and having a chat with a couple of pints before going home with the consistently quality food. By far the best curry house in the village and surrounding area.

Second-Helpings
15 New Pl Gardens, LingfieldI stumbled across Second Helpings on Google when looking for a restaurant for my mother’s birthday and I am so glad I did. Barbara was the most accommodating host and made the event so special for us.
The food was absolutely delicious - from burrata and mushroom canapés, to a beautifully cooked soufflé starter, and salmon fish main and delicious desserts of rosemary shortbread and lemon posset! Barbara also made some lovely picnic baskets for the children too.
It was such a unique and special experience - and so much nicer than a pub or restaurant where the children would have struggled to sit still. Barbara made us feel so welcome in her home and the children had so much fun running up and down the beautiful and extensive garden.
I would not hesitate to book again and can’t wait to return for some more delicious food.
If you’re looking for a memorable and special dining experience I would definitely recommend Second Helpings!

New Buildings, Newchapel Rd, LingfieldGot to say I had a takeaway and while.onky cash being a little odd nowadays, the food was pretty good. The service was a young lad who was quite rude, but I guess he is helping his parents out. It was bit expensive, but I guess the quality of the food made it a little easier to stomach... when I have saved up, we will have another from here for sure as it beats the east grinstead takeaways for Chinese by quite a way.

The Red Barn

We had the marquee and it was perfect for what we wanted..They were extremely helpful in the lead up and helped make the day perfect. The Cyprium Bar & Grill in Lingfield truly is a hidden gem — but getting a table there felt like a mission in itself. The online booking system didn’t seem to yield any response, and trying to get through on the phone was equally frustrating. It took sheer determination and persistence to finally secure a reservation.
That said, once we were in, it was absolutely worth the effort. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive, and the food was genuinely excellent — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Service throughout the evening was friendly and efficient, striking just the right balance.
Interestingly, our server mentioned that it’s often best just to turn up. In the worst-case scenario, you can be seated in the bar area, which has a similar menu and still offers a great experience.
If they could streamline the booking process and improve their responsiveness, this place would be a knockout from start to finish. But once you're there, you're in for a real treat.

New House, 1 Newchapel Rd, LingfieldWe get fish and chips about every three weeks in the winter / spring. Generally it is very good, they do fish no batter for me. However we do find the chips are undercooked and a bit hard in the middle. So either have to ask for them more cooked or put them in the oven when we get back .

64 High St, LingfieldGreat place to eat, stayed at Marriot nearby but fancied eating out, this place is 20/25 minutes walk up the road or you can get taxi. Service was excellent, food lovely but portions could be slightly bigger and restaurant was really nice inside. Definitely one to try if you're in the area!

Costa Coffee
7 E Grinstead Rd, LingfieldMe and my little dog Polly were served by a lovely young lady called Megan on the 26/11/25 she went over and beyond to help us. Even did me doggy a little cup of cream. So so nice to have a smile and conversation with someone you could tell wanted to talk and suck a lovely service and pleasure to talk to. Thank you so much Simon and Polly.
