The Dog & Duck
Prince of Wales Rd, Outwood, RedhillThe Dog & Duck pub in Redhill is an absolute gem, especially if you’re looking for somewhere that caters to both adults and kids. For just £10 per child, the outdoor activity area is fantastic value and keeps little ones entertained for hours. There’s a great mix of things to do, including water pedalo boats, inflatable slides, a sand pit, an inflatable play house, a snack van, a mountain climbing wall, and plenty more to explore. The best part is there’s no time limit, so you can really settle in and enjoy the day at your own pace.
The pub itself doesn’t disappoint either. The food is really good, with a solid selection of snacks and more substantial options, and the drinks menu is impressive. Whether you’re after a refreshing pint, a well-made cocktail, or a mocktail, there’s plenty of choice for everyone.
It’s the kind of place that works perfectly for families and groups of friends alike. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and friendly, making it easy to unwind while the kids have a great time. All in all, it’s a brilliant spot for a day out and one we’ll definitely be returning to.

The Castle Inn, Outwood
Miller's Ln, Outwood, RedhillAbsolutely amazing experience from the moment we walked in. It’s been such a hot today, my dog was welcomed. Given a frozen towel to cool down, and a fan. The food was much much better than expected as I was expecting just normal basic pub food, but it was an elevated level, even just for a snack.
The staff were genuinely really caring about my dog and also the hike we were on and giving us tips about where to go to improve the walk and be in the shade for the way home. Also, we were given cold water to go with our travels. Absolute gem here. Thank you so much!! Def coming back to you and will recommend far and wide. Keep doing what you are doing, this warm and cosy feeling goes far! ??
