The Royal Oak

It was our second trip to the Royal Oak for a Sunday roast and I’ll definitely be returning for a third visit. The Vegan roast is huge, I had mushroom wellington this time which was delicious. My meat eating partner enjoyed his and said the beef was great. I loved the Vegan Biscoff cheesecake for dessert. I never usually have dessert because it’s normally a cop out like sorbet for Vegans! The people that run the place are also lovely and make an effort to chat to you. Dog friendly as well, which is a bonus.

Tarana Lingfield

My Indian friend brought me here and I have been again and will go again and again! I recommend the prawn crackers for starters and then eat all the curries your money can buy! They’re all delicious ?

Old House at Home

What an amazing Sunday afternoon spent celebrating Mother’s Day with my daughters. The food was amazing , fresh ingredients, I had beef roast, it was perfectly done and my children had a chicken roast which was amazing too.Cozy and a homely feel! Micheal and Julia and the team were so friendly and made the entire afternoon as special as it was meant to be. Will definitely be back!

The Plough Inn

What more can one say than exceptional Thai food, exceptional service in a rustic British Pub atmosphere. This pub is always very busy and that comes as no promise.

The Star Inn

Another great roast dinner at The Star. As always very booked up and I had not booked. However, as she has done before Maddie showed a fantastic ''Can Do!'' attitude and made it work for me and my friend and found us a table. This level of customer service is rare these days but it is one of the things that set the Star apart from other places when busy. Food was great as usual too. Thank you. Terry

Bengal Village Lingfield

Exilent food quality with the best price specially the chicken tikka masala and chi vindaloo,staff was very friendly and no rush .i think this is the best place ever i ate in lingfield area,will must visit again

Second-Helpings

We had the most wonderful celebration with Barbara at Second Helpings for my friend's baby shower. Barbara went above and beyond to cater to each guest and give us a really special afternoon. The food we had for afternoon tea was so delicious, with amazing quiches and beautiful cakes. The venue was so perfect too and wonderful having an exclusive space just for us all. We can't thank Barbara enough for making it such a special day and we'll definitely be going back for a summer picnic in the garden!

Thai Lounge

This is a fantastic restaurant . The service is excellent. The choice of food is devine. They make the best Thai Curry by far. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Lingfield Tandoori

Lovely restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptional, between four of us we tried quite a few different dishes and all of them were delicious. We will definitely be back!

New Century Chinese

Fantastic place. We've tried so many Chinese in Felbridge/East Grinstead the are all the same low grade quality. New century was good quality, nice portions and tye people are very friendly. Give them a go, they are now our go to place.

The Greyhound

I went to The Greyhound with a group of 4 family members & my brother's girlfriend (6 of us in all) for lunch @ around midday. Despite the inside being in the process of redecoration for the new owners, our group was given a very warm & friendly welcome by the staff & by the other customers already in the pub. We had no problems finding a table & our drinks / food were delivered to us with friendly smiles (thanks Grace). The food menu was good & the quality of the food was excellent coupled with a wide range of drinks including apple juice for my mum & guinness for my brother. All 6 of us received our meals within a couple of minutes of the 1st one arriving (we had 4 Full English breakfasts & 2 gammon, eggs & chips), none of which lasted very long on the plates! Our compliments to the chef. The pub also has a fair amount of outside seating as well. In summary, it's fair to say we had a great time at The Greyhound - great food, great people, great prices...I'd fully recommend giving it a visit!

The Red Barn

Sunday Lunch at the Red Barn was absolutely perfect. Brilliant service. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend. We had a Birthday lunch for 9 people and everyone left very happy.

Shell

It has convenient parking. There is a toilet if you are driving long distance! The shop has a good range of things to buy. The fuel is a bit more expensive than other towns with multiple petrol stations as Shell has a monopoly here. Monopolies always lead to higher prices so I do not blame Shell for this. It is always busy due to its location so you pay for convenience. I have no complaints about it and it fulfills a very useful role in Lingfield.

Smith & Western

This is a great place to celebrate birthdays, I booked a table with a special request of a not to busy table and they did their best to accommodate. The staff were absolutely lovely and we had great fun, the food was first rate . I highly recommend this restaurant.

Costa Coffee

I used to avoid this cafe as I found it dirty, noisy and claustrophobic. However it has recently had a makeover and I like it much more now. It is much cleaner and doesn’t seem as noisy or crammed. New manager (I think) is very cheerful, friendly and efficient. What would make it even better is if the other staff were friendlier too. Not important to some customers but it goes a long way for me to receive a smile with my order!

Fish & Chips

Best Fish and Chip shop for miles around.Excellent chips.Really like the kebab option and that the salad is served separately so it doesn't steam and go soggy.
