The restaurant was busy when we arrived on Saturday at 6:30pm, had to wait a couple of minutes. Front was full of people who had phoned their orders in. Warmly greeted as we sat down, we were presented with a plate with bread and six shrimp/prawns on it to nibble on while we made our minds up. I chose large cod and chips, my wife had plaice and chips (in the photo), as you can see it was huge, but we managed to finish it off. We popped in completely randomly as we were passing by, and asked if they had a table free, not having been there before or knowing anything about it. Wow!. What a find. The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious and it was reasonably priced. We had a really lovely time. We were so well looked after and nothing seemed too much trouble. I've had a really busy working week as a nurse ....and it was so nice to just have a bit of time feeing I was being looked after...read full review
