A nice local pub, but we were very disappointed on Christmas Eve when they suddenly called last orders at 2050, Especially as it clearly said on the board next to the bar that they were open until 2200. A few people even heard the bell, but thought it was for something else, as they didn't shout last orders, so a lot of people were left without a final drink. We then had to go to the Grey Horse along the road, which was absolutely rammed with all the people from the Black Bull....read full review

I would like to thank Ian and his staff for an absolutely fantastic night. Nothing was a problem for him. Allowing us to have space for a friend's 60th. There isn't enough words to say how helpful Ian and his staff where. Thank you again for a fab time.

We visited this superb pub again today and the new manager (Ian) is a breath of fresh air. He is very passionate about the service he provides, the beer he serves and his plans for the future. We are very impressed.
