I visited here by myself and I felt very much like an outsider, which is understandable: this is a local's bar.Karaoke was fun and the drinks cheap, the people can be quite rowdy.
If you want an authentic Tyneside city center pub, look no further than The Black Garter! Well kept beers, friendly staff and great atmosphere - especially on match day! No messing around or you’ll get it from the landlady - a wee Yorkshire lass that can deal with the most boisterous customers! Weekends great evenings with Ophelia Balls and DJ Chris Parker.We’ll be back, definitely recommend!
