Wasn't sure what I ordered as hadn't encountered everything before but thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe an extra explanation on menu would help those like me who are not sure what some items on menu were ...when I asked the waiter what something was they seemed more than happy to explain .....Kid-friendliness: Took a six week old baby with us who was welcomed and made space for....”

The mashed potatoes could be improved by the addition of garlic but so would all mashed potatoes and that is more a general opinion that I hold to be universal truth than a criticism.Bread and butter pudding definitely left something to be desired - while tasty, I'm not at all convinced that it wasn't just baked bread with custard and raisins on top. Pour some egg, milk, and cinnamon over the bread before you bake it please?”
British • “We had the 5 course seasonal menu with accompanying wine flight which was all delicious. The chef was also able to substitute or modify some dishes to cater for allergies in the party. Service was all excellent and the whole meal was nicely paced with breaks where needed. We also opted for the optional cheese course with port.”
“Booking a birthday meal for a carnivore (with an intolerance to various nuts,) and three vegetarians (one of whom can't have dairy, and one of whom can't have dairy, soy or gluten) felt like an impossible challenge - but the team at Peace & Loaf were brilliant!The chefs adapted the long tasting menu for all of our requirements. The presentation was exquisite, and the dishes varied and beautifully cooked.We were made so welcome, and had a really lovely evening. The staff were attentive, and talked us through each dish - happy to answer our questions about interesting herbs and flavours.It was a expensive treat for us - but we felt it was excellent value for money, and well worth splashing out on, for a special occasion.Vegetarian options: They have separate vegetarian tasting menus - both long and short. (We had the long menu - and left almost 3 hours later, having barely noticed the time pass!)Dietary restrictions: As above - with advance notice, they were able to cope with nut, dairy, soy and gluten intolerances without a fuss. We each got the dish intended for us without any confusion every time.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has relatively flat access but is on three levels, with steps. There are tables on the ground floor - but I didn't spot a wheelchair accessible loo... The other loos are up 2 flights of stairs. Definitely worth checking before you come.”
